Initially developed by Joseph Pilates in the 1920s, he pioneered strength, conditioning and rehabilitation work with the New York dance community. Over the years, the appeal of Pilates broadened as people from all walks of life gave the approach a try and embraced the comprehensive benefits that it has to offer.
